VCD ATHLETIC have appointed Grant Basey as their new manager.

“VCD Athletic are pleased to confirm the appointment of Grant Basey as first-team manager,” said a club statement.

“A former VCD player, Charlton Athletic assistant and Cray Wanderers manager, Grant will bring in Michael Power as his number two and will also build a coaching team ready for the new season.

“We welcome Grant back to the club in his new role and hopefully bring success to the Vickers.”

Power, who has also played for VCD Athletic, scored 16 goals for Southern Counites East Football League Premier Division side Erith Town last season.

Meanwhile, defender Ashley Probets, 37, has left the club and has signed for Gravesend-based Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division side Punjab United.
