Thamesmead Town’s newly-appointed manager Keith McMahon heaped praise on the club’s under 16’s for winning the treble this season.

A 5-0 win over Erith & Belvedere secured the league title for unbeaten Thamesmead and then they defeated local rivals Dartford 2-1 to win the League Shield in front of a very large crowd to lift the treble.

McMahon said "It's a fantastic achievement. I don't think it has sunk into the players yet on what the have actually done.

"A treble in any standard is not easy but to do it at this level is fantastic. I am a very lucky manager to have these young lads coming through the ranks.

"If they all stay at the club you will see some of them breaking in to the 1st team next season."

Meanwhile, Thamesmead Town have arranged three pre-season friendlies already, with Dartford (15th July), and Arsenal XI (16th July) and newly-promoted side Maidstone United (18th July) agreeing to visit Bayliss Avenue.
