Wings' squad takes shape for next season

WELLING UNITED boss Andy Ford has been quick off the mark in getting his squad ready for next season.


The Wings can confirm that a number of players have been offered new terms for next season, whilst some have been invited back for pre-season and others have been released.

The players that Ford has offered terms to and would like to retain include Charlie Mitten, Lee Protheroe, Tony Sinclair, Graeme Andrews, Sanchez Ming, Sam Hurrell, Loui Fazackerley, Ryan Johnson, Charlie Sheringham and Jack Parkinson.

James Baker and Sonny Cobbs, meanwhile, have been invited back for pre-season training.

However, Rob Quinn, Lee Blackburn, Matthew McEntegart, Dorian Smith and Orlando Smith have all been released.

Meanwhile, the Blue Square South club can reveal that it's in negotiations with Charlton Athletic and Gillingham regarding pre-season friendlies at Park View Road.
