We're still not playing to our full potential, says Seven Acre & Sidcup assistant Martin Reece

SEVEN ACRE & Sidcup assistant manager Martin Reece has told his players to go out and enjoy themselves against Sutton Athletic on Saturday. The Thamesmead-based club are in sixth-place in the Pain & Glory Sports Kent Invicta League table with five wins and two draws from their seven league outings.
Lee Hill’s side travel to Hextable on Saturday to play a Sutton Athletic side that are in third-place in the table, two points behind league leaders Hollands & Blair.
“We travel to Sutton and again they are an unknown quantity with new management and a new team but as the position and last result shows a team bang on form and they’ve found their feet early doors,” said Reece.
“We have got a few players back from injury so we’re nearly back to a full squad to pick from.
“We go into the game with confidence and knowing on our best form we will take all three points.
“That is not showing disrespect to Sutton, we feel that way against any team.”
Reflecting on their league campaign to date, Reece added: “Looking back over the season and last seven games we would have taken five wins out of seven and with the two games in hand and taking full points from them would see us sitting top with on joint-points with Hollands & Blair.
“We would have taken that all day long at the beginning of the season.
“We spoke with the lads at training on Tuesday and know we have been knocked out of two Cups (FA Vase and Challenge Trophy) but we are all happy that we’ve still been getting results in the league and still not playing to our full potential.
“We asked the lads to relax and go out to enjoy themselves against Sutton to try and recreate our pre-season form and see us climb back up the table.”
