We're a decent side and we need to be winning games, says Tunbridge Wells boss Martin Larkin

TUNBRIDGE WELLS boss Martin Larkin hopes his side bounce back from their disappointing derby day defeat at Sevenoaks Town and pick up their third win over Corinthian, writes Stephen McCartney.
Larkin felt his side gifted three of Sevenoaks’ four goals during the 4-1 defeat at Greatness Park last night, a result that leaves his side in a disappointing tenth place in the Kent League table.
Striker Carl Cornell netted his nineteenth goal of the season last night, but they were punished by an impressive first half performance from their arch-rivals, who went in at the break 3-1 up.
Corinthian boss Tony Sitford witnessed the game and Larkin takes his side to Gay Dawn Farm on Saturday wanting to chalk up their third successive win over the Fawkham based outfit.
The Wells won the league game 4-0 at the end of September, and went to Gay Dawn Farm in the FA Vase seven days later and won by the same scoreline.
“We’ve played them twice this year and won 4-0 both times so we need to react,” said a bitterly disappointed Larkin last night.
“If there isn’t a reaction then we need to have a little chat about it because we’re a decent side and therefore we need to be winning games.”
Corinthian go into the game sitting one place higher, in ninth, with 20 points from 16 games.
“They’ve picked up quite a bit, they’ve improved a hell of a lot since we last played them,” added Larkin.
“They were watching (us at Sevenoaks) and they’ve got some good players there. They’re more than capable. We think the lads are capable of winning most games we play but we need to react and put a win on the board.”
Larkin then takes his side to Eden Park Avenue to play a Beckenham Town side that save their better performances for the road as Jason Huntley’s team have only lost a couple of games on their travels.
But at home they have suffered disastrous defeats, including Fisher and Sporting Bengal, which have dented their title challenge and they have slipped down to fifth place.
Larkin added: “It will be tough with a small squad but at least we can get (to play some night games) because you can play again straight away.”
