We look forward to continuing support from all our sponsors, says Dover chief

DOVER ATHLETIC chairman Jim Parmenter says companies are supporting the club, especially as they've secured back-to-back titles, writes Stephen McCartney.

Player-manager Andy Hessenthaler has guided the club to the Ryman One South and Ryman Premier League titles in just 24 months and the Crabble outfit can now look forward to playing in the Blue Square South - two levels below the Football League - next season.

The Whites received their Ryman Premier League crown last Saturday - despite suffering their only home defeat of the season against Boreham Wood - although there’s going to be more celebration for the visit of Wealdstone this weekend.

“We’re producing a special commemorative programme for the last home game and that’s been very well supported by our sponsors and we hope that’s a good omen for next season,” Mr Parmenter said in his audio interview with www.doverathletic.com.

“The programme will be available for three quid, action packed full of action photos and it will also give people a chance to win VIP membership for the whole season if they get the lucky programme number.

“We’re hopeful people will take us up on that and we’re looking forward to continuing support from all our sponsors.

“We’ll be displaying our new kit for next season and announcing our new sponsors for next season so it’s going to be a great occasion again.”
