Wells begin search for new second string manager
Thursday 30th April 2009
KENT LEAGUE side Tunbridge Wells begin to search for a new manager of their under 21 team, following Vince Shell’s decision to part company with the Culverden Stadium club after 18 months in charge.
It was announced today that former Ashford Town coach Shell and Brian Curtin have decided to stand down due to a number of the squad moving on to University.
Shell believes a local manager with better links is what is required to further improve and develop the links with the first team.
"The under 21 team manager's job is the most difficult role at the club," said Martin Larkin, the club's first-team assistant manager, when speaking to www.tunbridgewellsfc.co.uk.
"Vince and Brian have carried their roles out with great enthusiasm and ability and on behalf of Mike (Robbins) and the rest of the club I would like to publicly thank them for their hard work and help since they joined the team."
First team boss Mike Robbins has been busy speaking with candidates to fill the role. However, the west Kent club are still accepting applications.
Interested parties should contact the club to discuss the role further. Please email secretary@twfcexec.com
