Welling United re-sign Moses Emmanuel: We are pleased that he’s joined us as I know there was a lot of interest in him as you can imagine

WELLING UNITED coach Hugo Langton says he is delighted to welcome striker Moses Emmanuel back to Park View Road.

The 30-year-old has recently left their Vanarama National League South rivals Billericay Town and has put pen to paper on a deal to return to the club last night and the former Bromley ace has teamed up with Mark Goldberg again.

The Wings host their league rivals St Albans City in The Buildbase FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round tomorrow sitting in fifteenth-place in the table with 20 points from 18 games – but they lost 1-0 at home to the Saints in the league four weeks ago.

Korrey Henry, who is on loan from Bromley, scored four goals in last Saturday’s 6-2 home win over Braintree Town last weekend.

St Albans City, meanwhile, have signed Munashe Sundire from their Hertfordshire rivals Hemel Hempstead Town and the full-back or midfielder has been added to their squad for tomorrow’s game.

“Every time you plan an Ian Allison team you know you’re going to play against a difficult opponent,” said Langton.

“People will look at the league table and think this is an easy game but it isn’t.  They turned us over recently and so we know they are dangerous.

“They have some very good players who can hurt us if given the opportunity.

“This isn’t a revenge game or anything like that, this isn’t our motivation. We just want to back up last week’s win with another if we can.

“We have signed Moses Emmanuel, a player Mark and I know well and he will add more attacking options.  He knows most of our players anyway so I’m sure he will fit in just fine.

“He was made very welcome at training last night. We are pleased that he’s joined us as I know there was a lot of interest in him as you can imagine.

“Moses is a lovely lad, he loves his football and he just wants to win, as we all do.

“Our form hasn’t been great lately overall but now I’m hoping we can build on last week’s solid performance and victory.”
