Welling spread their wings in their local community

Monday 08th May 2006
Welling United and Kingsmoor JFC have joined forces to create Welling United Youth.

The official launch took place on Saturday at Welling United’s Park View Road ground.

”This initiative, along with Welling’s appointment of a community officer, will ensure that local youngsters have the opportunity to play football within their local community, for their local team,” Liz Upton, Welling United’s youth secretary told www.wellingunited.com

”Currently we have 12 teams representing the club, with ages ranging from under 7’s through to under 18’s.  It is our intention to provide football for all ability ranges for both boys and girls.

“Welling United offer their full support to this venture, ensuring a community football at grass roots football.

”All registered players will receive a free pass to home Nationwide Conference South games.  Fully qualified FA coaches available at all levels.”
