Welling United appoint Steve King on a two-year contract
WELLING UNITED have unveiled the arrival of Steve King as their new manager on a two-year contract.
Wings owner Mark Goldberg has appointed the former Whitehawk, Macclesfield Town, Lewes and Farnborough boss to replace Jamie Coyle, who now forms Dartford’s management team alongside Adam Flanagan.

A club statement which was published on www.wellingunitedfc.com said: “King was at the helm at Whtiehawk and almost pulled off a great escape with the side looking dead-and-buried. After a huge squad overhaul King inspired the Hawks to a great run of form, which included a 1-0 victory over Welling back in April.
“King’s CV also includes various play-off campaigns and cup success, notably taking Macclesfield Town to the Fourth Round of The FA Cup in 2013, for the first time in the clubs history.
“Steve will be announcing his backroom team in due course.”
Coyle guided Welling United to a top-ten finish in the Vanarama National League South last season, picking up 61 points from their 42 league outings.
