GREENWICH BOROUGH have pulled off a massive coup today – by agreeing a groundshare deal at Conference Premier club Dartford.



Greenwich Borough were searching for a new ground after their three-year deal at Bromley-based Holmesdale expired at the end of last season. 

They used to play close to where Cray Valley play, but their ground in Eltham at Harrow Meadow was sold for housing after their lease expired with Greenwich council.

Dartford co-chairman Bill Archer issued a statement on his club website www.dartfordfconline.com.

He said: “We are pleased to announce that Greenwich Borough will be groundsharing at Princes Park next season.

“They play in the Kent Premier League and will play their games on alternate Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings to our first team.

“We are very happy to help a club that found themselves homeless (a feeling we had no so long ago!)

“Starting the season with a new chairman and manager, they are very keen and excited at the prospect of playing at our stadium.

“We will have more details when the paperwork and fixtures have been released.”

John Cumberbatch and Owen Jones continue in their management roles at the club next season after finishing their Kent League campaign in the bottom three.
