Warrilow: But the bottom line is still that the most important target is to get out of this league

TONBRIDGE ANGELS boss Tommy Warrilow says he wants his side to get back on track down at Hastings on Tuesday night, after losing to the league leaders at the weekend.
Former Gillingham striker Leroy Griffiths scored the only goal of the game to send Paul Doswell’s Sutton United fourteen points clear of the third-placed Kent club, although the Angels do have three games in hand.
One of those games in hand is a trip down the A21 to Hastings United on Tuesday night.
The east Sussex side remain just one place above the relegation zone in the Ryman Premier League table with 23 points from 29 games, and go into the Sussex-versus-Kent clash with a run of just one win in their last twenty league games, but form will go all out of the window and passions will certainly be running high at The Pilot Field.
“We’ve got two difficult games this week, and if we get six points from them, I’ll want six from the next two and so on,” said Warrilow, who has seen his side lose their last two league games.
“Hastings are in a bit of a dip at the moment and as I said Hendon have had a Jeckell and Hyde week so they too will be looking to get back on track.”
The Angels travel to Vale Farm, Wembley next Saturday, to play a Hendon side that defeated leaders Sutton United 1-0 last Wednesday, only to lose 8-1 to fourth-placed Lowestoft Town yesterday.
Warrilow said: “There’s no way that I’d swap where we are today with this time last year – if we keep going like we did today there’s no way that we wont there or there abouts.
“You know sometime you’ve got to look at other teams – they’re a decent outfit Sutton; they’ve got plenty of experience so we’re not going to come here and get our own way.
“At the moment we’re in a League position that is I think where should be. We’re looking at the play-off positions, and we’re looking to win it until its mathematically impossible we won’t give up hope of winning it!
“But the bottom line is still that the most important target is to get out of this league.”
