Walker targets two new players - EXCLUSIVE

Tuesday 26th June 2007

Clive Walker, preparing for his first season in charge of Ryman League Division One South club Ashford Town, has revealed that he’s expecting to add to his squad next week, writes Stephen McCartney.

Former Dover Athletic boss Walker has already brought in Lee Spiller, Nick Humphrey and Anthony Browne to The Homelands from his former club - and striker Rob Denness, 18, had signed from Chatham Town, the club Walker managed before spending two and a half years at Crabble.

And whilst the club improves their facilities at The Homelands, Walker admitted EXCLUSIVELY to www.kentishfootball.co.uk
tonight, that he’s being patient as he strives to add to his squad.

“Another week I should know one or two things,” he said. “I’m after a couple of players, but it will be another week until I know.”

Revealing the positions of his targets, Walker added:” Left-sided, one of them will (be), possibly another forward - a lot of people are on holiday."
