TUNBRIDGE WELLS manager Richard Styles says he’s expecting a tough encounter against Kennington tomorrow.
The Wells are in ninth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table, having collected 19 points from 11 games.
Dan Scorer brings his Ashford-based side to Culverden Stadium sitting one place lower in the pecking order with 19 points from 14 league games.
“Kennington are a tough team and have started the season very well, so we’re expecting a tough fixture, as with every game in this league,” said Styles.
“Although it’s still very early days, the league table is currently very tight, with a lot of the top-half winning and bottom half dropping points, so there’s a kind of split with the league tables.
“I see this getting smaller over the coming weeks with teams in similar positions playing each other and some dropping points.”
Styles missed their 4-0 win at Canterbury City seven days ago as he was suffering from Covid-19.
“This was a pleasing performance, result and a valuable three points,” added Styles, who makes the return to his former club Lordswood next Tuesday night.
