TONBRIDGE ANGELS manager Steve McKimm has unveiled the return of striker Alex Akrofi.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a profitable campaign last time out at Isthmian League North Division side Aveley, scoring 15 league goals before the campaign was abandoned in March due to the coronavirus health pandemic with the Millers sitting in second-place in the table.

Previously, in two seasons at Tonbridge Angels, Akrofi scored 34 goals in 68 appearances for then Isthmian League Premier Division club.

McKimm told the club website: “I’m delighted that Alex has come back to the Angels.  I believe he is ready for National League South football and will fit very well into the squad we’re assembling.”

Meanwhile, McKimm has retained the services of midfielder Christ Tiehi, 22.

“I’m delighted that Christ has agreed to stay with the club,” added McKimm, who is also coaching the Academy at Combined Counties League side Sutton Common Rovers.

“He brought strength and skill to our central midfield area and will ask plenty of questions of our opponents in the upcoming campaign.”
