Tom Parkinson is the perfect fit for new coaching role at Tonbridge Angels

Friday 11th October 2019

TONBRIDGE ANGELS manager Steve McKimm has appointed Tom Parkinson as first team coach having lost James Scott to their Vanarama National League South rivals Hemel Hempstead Town.

Scott has taken up an analyst role for Sammy Moore’s side, a role he had when the pair were at AFC Wimbledon together.

Parkinson was one of McKimm’s first signings when he arrived at Longmead Stadium in 2014 and was made club captain and now jointly manages the Academy side.

“Following the recent departure of James Scott, Parky is the perfect fit for this role while he continues to recover from his injury,” McKimm told www.tonbridgeangels.co.uk.

“He has his UEFA A licence coaching badge, is doing great things with our Academy and of course has the respect of the entire first team squad.”

Second from bottom in the Vanarama National League South table, Tonbridge Angels have collected eight points from 12 games and they welcome fifth-placed Braintree Town to Longmead Stadium tomorrow (15:00).
