Tonbridge Angels' scoop £8,446 grant for their ladies' team

Thursday 07th April 2016

TONBRIDGE ANGELS have been awarded a grant of £8,446 from Sport England towards the development of its recently formed ladies team.

Launched last summer, spurred on by England’s Lionesses’ success finishing in third-place in the Women’s World Cup, significant progress has already been made with a number of friendly matches played during this season against local sides allowing team members to gain valuable experience.

Manager Dan Couldridge told www.tonbridgeangelsonline.co.uk: “This is tremendous news for everyone involved and will allow the ladies team to really push on next season including participation in a league competition.

“I would like to thank Tonbridge Angels’ board for their involvement and to supporter Roger Maddams and Kent Sport who have provided expert advice.”
