Thrilling sides come head-to-head in promotion showdown
Friday 30th March 2007
Dartford fans are looking forward to another epic game at Princes Park tomorrow – Dulwich Hamlet are in town, writes Stephen McCartney.
Third placed Darts are just six points behind leaders Maidstone United and welcome fourth placed Hamlet tomorrow in what promises to be a cracking game of attacking football between two sides that thrill.“Tomorrow we have another big game against Dulwich, a team who play very good football and like us have been in the top four for most of the season,” Darts boss Tony Burman told www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk.
“These are games that we want to be involved in and I can tell you that we are all looking forward to, and will be up for, the game.”
Burman revealed today that right-back Tommy Osborne is suffering with a back injury that needs rest but there is good news for midfielder Eddie McClements.
“Eddie trained last night and hopefully he will be fit for selection,” revealed Burman.
And with transfer deadline day falling tomorrow at 5pm, Burman added: “At this moment in time I have not managed to sign any new players before the deadline.
“I have not given up hope on strengthening the squad.
“What I would like to say is that I have a squad of twenty players who’s team spirit in the changing room and around Princes Park is excellent and I am delighted they are with me.”
A crowd of at least 1,500 is expected at Dartford’s £6.5m Princes Park Stadium tomorrow.
