The Road to Wembley: FA Carlsberg Vase Fourth Round Draw

Monday 10th December 2007

The last two Kent League sides left in the FA Carlsberg Vase have both been handed home draws in the fourth round draw, which was made at Soho Square this morning, writes Stephen McCartney.

Both VCD Athletic and Greenwich Borough have been handed home ties as they both aim to reach the last sixteen next month.

It is the third successive season that Crayford based side VCD Athletic have reached the fourth round of the national cup competition, won by Deal Town at the old Wembley Stadium back in 2000.

Vickers, who won 3-1 at Ampthill Town on Saturday, will face either Ringer (8th in the Sussex County League top flight) or Needham Market (1st in Ridgeons League premier division).

Ringmer have home advantage on Tuesday night, as their original game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday.

Greenwich Borough, meanwhile, welcome Harefield United (a side that’s seventh in the Molten Spartan South Midlands Premier Division) to Harrow Meadow.

Borough had defeated Wembley 2-1 in Eltham on Saturday.
