Daniel Kelly quits Sutton Athletic citing other commitments
SUTTON ATHLETIC begin the search for a new manager after Daniel Kelly stepped down from the role due to other commitments.
The Hextable-based outfit are in the bottom five (17th place) in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with 17 points (four wins, nine draws and 13 defeats) from their 22 games.
Sutton Athletic have Kennington (16 points from 21 games), Rusthall (16 points from 23 games), Welling Town (16 points from 21 games) and Stansfeld (15 points from 22 games) beneath them in the table.
“We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to his efforts and dedication since he became manager in June 2017, taking the club to its highest ever playing position in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division and the longest runs in both The FA Cup and FA Vase over the past six years,” said a club statement.

The club operate without a playing budget. The deadline for applications will be Sunday 14 January, with the interview process starting early next week.
Kelly’s last game in charge was their 2-1 home defeat to resurgent Kennington on Saturday.
The club are without a game on Saturday and welcome Holmesdale to Lower Road on Wednesday 17 January 2024.
Andy Constable’s side are in thirteenth-place in the table with 26 points (seven wins, five draws, 10 defeats) from 22 games and they welcome Highworth Town to Oakley Road on Saturday, as the Bromley-based outfit make their FA Vase Fourth Round debut.
