Spartans pull out of Dalers' opening warm-up match

HOLMESDALE manager Tony Beckingham has today informed www.kentishfootball.co.uk that Saturday’s opening pre-season friendly against Bly Spartans has been cancelled, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Kent League side were expecting to meet the newly promoted Vandanel Kent County League top-flight side at Langley Sports Club in Beckenham.

But Beckingham said: “Bly have pulled out of tomorrow’s friendly game because they are unable to field a team. We will be holding an inter-club game instead.”

The Dalers' first pre-season friendly will now be the visit of Ryman League Division One South side Cray Wanderers next Thursday, 10th July.  The match, which takes place at the club's Oakley Road ground in Bromley Common, kick's off at 7:15pm.
