Soccer Shorts: Folkestone sign Bulgarian find

Wednesday 25th July 2007

Tonight’s Soccer Shorts brings you news on Folkestone Invicta, Ebbsfleet United and Sittingbourne.

Neil Cugley, the manager of Ryman Premier League side Folkestone Invicta, has added two more players to his squad.

Much-travelled goalkeeper Charlie Mitten, and Bulgarian Ilijan Pamykov, who can play at either right-back or on the right-side of midfield, have both signed for the Buzzlines Stadium club.

Pamykov has impressed during Invicta’s opening pre-season friendlies, despite his language barrier.

Undefeated in three pre-season friendlies, Ebbsfleet United have added a game at Whitstable Town on Thursday night, where boss Liam Daish is expected to give Mark De Bollad and Gary MacDonald a much-needed run-out.

Trialists Chris McPhee and Phil Starkey should also feature.

Daish’s team then round off their pre-season exploits at Ryman Premier League side AFC Hornchurch on Saturday and at home to Charlton Athletic, at Stonebridge Rad, on Wednesday, 1st August.

Ryman League Division One South club Sittingbourne are pleased to announce that Hidson of Rainham, KIA, SEAT and Citroen dealers have agreed to sponsor the Bourne Park club this season.
