MATT BROADWAY, who played for both Tonbridge Angels and Maidstone United, has been unveiled as the new manager of Oakwood, the side that play at Honey Lane, Otham, in the Vandanel Kent County League Division One East.

EBBSFLEET UNITED boss Liam Daish has secured a season-long loan of central defender Darius Charles after a deal was agreed with Brentford.

The 20-year-old will already be familiar to Fleet fans having impressed during a loan spell at the tail-end of last season when he featured in nine games.

Charles began his career as a trainee at Brentford in 2004 and signed professional forms in 2006. He can play as a central defender, left-back and also on the left of midfield.

Daish's second signing of the day confirms the rumours that have been doing the rounds in recent weeks as former Gillingham midfielder Craig Stone joins on a one-year contract.

A local player who came through Gillingham's youth ranks having joined at age 10 and broke into the first team at the age of 16 under then-manager Andy Hessenthaler in November 2005, Craig spent part of 2007-08 on loan at Brentford, making six appearances, and appeared for Gillingham 15 times in all.

The six-foot midfielder signed a professional contract at Priestfield in 2007 but was released in May 2008.

Playing mainly in the centre of midfield, Liam Daish clearly thinks the strong, combative Craig, 19, can fill the gap left by Michael Bostwick's move to Stevenage.

DARTFORD, who are preparing for life in the Ryman Premier League, will be selling tickets for their pre-season friendly against Charlton Athletic tomorrow.

Tickets for the 15th July clash, will be sold at the club shop at Princes Park Stadium tomorrow (Sunday) between 10am-2pm.

PLENTY of football fans are swamping fans’ forums asking when the Ryman League fixtures and FA Cup draws will be made - all you have to do is ask! asked Neil Pilcher, the secretary of Folkestone Invicta, when the wait will be over, and he said: “The FA draws are normally out about the last week of June whilst the Ryman fixtures will be produced towards the end of the second week or start of the third week in July.”
