Here are some summer transfer news snippets.

BROMLEY striker Michael Cheek has scooped the National League leading goalscorer award for the 2020-21 season.

The 29-year-old scored 25 goals in all competitions, including two goals that were wiped out when Dover Athletic’s results were expunged from the league table.

Reflecting on his 21 goal National League haul, Cheek told Bromley’s website: “It really means a lot to me. The National League has a lot of good goalscorers so it was always going to be competitive.

“To come out on top is something I’m really proud off.  It was touch and go, however, after the goals against Dover were chalked off.”

Cheek is one of nine players that are under contract for the 2021-22 season.

CRAY WANDERERS have lost the services of centre-half Jay Leader, who dropped a level to sign for Justin Gardner's Barking, who play in the Isthmian League North Division.

DARTFORD manager Steve King has signed former Maidstone United midfielder George Porter, 28, and former Romford defender Bagasan Graham, 28.

EBBSFLEET UNITED manager Dennis Kutrieb has signed former Horsham midfielder Kieran Monlouis, 26, a St Lucia international.

The National League South side have retained the services of striker Rakish Bingham, 27, whom scored 11 goals in 22 appearances during the curtailed 2020-21 campaign.

He signed for the Stonebridge Road club last summer, having helped Dundee United secure their return into the Scottish Premiership.

MAIDSTONE UNITED have signed former Herne Bay winger Tushaun-Tyreese Walters.

The 21-year-old made 46 appearances for the Winch’s Field side, scoring 11 goals.

He had earlier made 13 appearances, scoring one goal for Chelsea’s under 18s and scored 19 goals for Greenwich Borough before signing for Ben Smith’s side.

Hakan Hayrettin has also snapped up former Havant & Waterlooville midfielder Roarie Deacon, 29, and former Barnet striker, Jack Barham, 25.

MARGATE manager Jay Saunders has signed midfielder Ryan Palmer, who finished the curtailed 2020-21 season playing for Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division side Welling Town.

“Ryan is a great, experienced player who understands the game well and offers lots to our squad," Saunders told Margate's website.

"He is a versatie midfielder and is really good in forward areas. Like other new faces we’ve brought to the club, Ryan’s character and leadership skills offer us a lot and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

SEVENOAKS TOWN manager Micky Collins has retained the services of midfielder Dan Parkinson and right-back Reion McFarlane ahead of their forthcoming Isthmian League South East Division campaign.

Meanwhile, Sevenoaks Town's chairman Paul Lansdale offered his congratulations to the clubs Powerchair manager and coach Adam McEvoy on receiving a British Empire Medal in the 2021 Queens Birthday Honours list.

"I could not think of a more deserving recipient for services to disabled and young people through sport," said Lansdale.

TONBRIDGE ANGELS manager Steve McKimm has announced the signing of former Billericay Town midfielder, Doug Loft, 34.

Loft was announced by Margate to have signed for the Isthmian League Premier Division club on 2 June but McKimm has come in with an offer to prise him away to play National League South football next season, instead.

Loft has made 399 appearances, scoring 31 goals during his career, playing for Brighton & Hove Albion, Dagenham & Redbridge, Port Vale, Gillingham, Colchester United, Shrewsbury Town and spent the past two seasons at National League South rivals Billericay Town.

McKimm told Tonbridge’s website: “Doug’s CV, as you can see, speaks for itself. This is an important signing for us as he will bring experience and knowledge to our midfield areas, which will be to the benefit of the whole squad.”

Meanwhile, a Margate statement added: “Doug Loft has had an offer of a contract to play in a higher division and therefore has decided not to join Margate.  Whilst disappointing news, we wish Doug well on the next chapter of his career.”

WELLING UNITED manager Steve Lovell has re-signed winger Lyle Della Verde, 26, and has signed former Herne Bay midfielder Bradley Stevenson, 22, and left-back Sam Mvemba.

The National League South club, meanwhile, has secured a one-year sponsorship deal with a local estate agent, a previous main sponsor at Park View Road.

“It is great news that Anthony Martin Estate Agents have put themselves forward as the main sponsor for the season ahead," said chairman Mark Goldberg.

"Sponsorship will greatly assist Welling United F.C to compete this year in very difficult circumstances while we continue to pursue the club’s plans for new facilities to ensure a sustainable future for the club and to ultimately climb the leagues as part of a joint effort”.

WHITSTABLE TOWN manager Lloyd Blackman has retained the services of attacker Harry Stannard and centre-half or holding midfielder Ollie Gray.
