Snodland Town part company with boss Gavin Gillies
SNODLAND TOWN begin the search for a new manager after parting company with Gavin Gillies today.
The Paddlesworth Road outfit slumped to the bottom of the Southern Counties East Football League First Division table at the weekend following their goal-less home draw to Rochester United, which extended their winless run to seven games in all competitions.
Snodland Town have collected seven points from their 12 league games and chairman Dave Jeal has decided to part company with Gillies.
“Snodland Town would like to thank Gavin for all his hard work over the last few years,” said Mr Jeal in a statement.
“He has played a major role in our progression, including the highly-respected sixth-place in the league last season.
“Unfortunately, following a poor start to the season with only two wins, leaving us bottom of the table, the club felt it was the right time to make a change.
“Everyone at Snodland Town FC wishes Gavin every success for the future.”
Snodland Town’s next three games are away from home, starting with a trip to 12th-placed side Lewisham Borough on Saturday, 24 November 2018 (15:00).
