We had a meeting with the board in the week and everyone’s happy with our progress across the league and cups, says Snodland Town boss Simon Copley
SNODLAND TOWN manager Simon Copley has been told that his board are happy with the club’s progress this season.
The club are in ninth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division table, having collected 11 points from 10 games and they travel to Sutton Common Rovers in The FA Vase First Round on Saturday.
Their opponents play one level higher and are currently in fourteenth-place in the Combined Counties League Premier Division table with 11 points from nine games.
“My thoughts on the game are quite simply that it’s just another game that if we win means we are continuing our good run of form,” said Copley.
“I really don’t see cup games whether they are The FA Vase or not as anything other than a chance for the squad to showcase themselves and try to continue the good work we are all putting in.
“We had a meeting with the board in the week and everyone’s happy with our progress across the league and cups and adding two or three players’ remains our objective, which in turn should push us up the league.
“I’ve not looked into our opponents for Saturday, I don’t coach them!
“We have just concentrated on what we can affect, which is how we play and how we act and how we decide to influence the game.
“I have every trust and faith in these players’ to give me their honesty and whatever happens, happens.
“This club would like the financial rewards winning this game brings and I hope we can deliver that on Saturday.”
The winners of FA Vase First Round ties will bank £825 each in prize money from The Football Association, with losing club's each banking £275.
