Snodland Town mutually part ways with manager Luke Wallond after eighth-place maiden Premier Division campaign

Wednesday 01st May 2024

SNODLAND TOWN have parted company with manager Luke Wallond yesterday.

The club completed their maiden Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division campaign in eighth-place, having picked up 65 points (19 wins, eight draws and 13 defeats) from their 40 league games.

“Snodland Town Football Club have mutually agreed to part ways with manager Luke Wallond,” said a club statement.

“We would like to thank Luke and his management team for all their hard work over the past four years, the highlight of which was securing promotion at the end of the 2022-23 season.

“Luke has become friends with many of our club members and supporters and we wish him all the best for the future.”

The club finished 14 points adrift of the play-offs in their debut campaign in the ninth-tier of English football.

Erith Town came from behind to beat Glebe 2-1 in front of a record crowd at Foxbury Avenue last night, while Faversham Town’s hopes of bouncing back at the first attempt were dashed by Michael Golding’s Corinthian, who claimed a 4-1 penalty shoot-out win after a 2-2 draw at Salters Lane.

Adam Woodward’s Dockers hold home advantage over Corinthian in Monday’s winner-takes-all Play-Off Final at Bayliss Avenue (15:00).
