Slade Green pull off major transfer coup

Friday 17th February 2006
Slade Green bosses Terry Malin and Phil Miles a have pulled off a major coup with the addition to the squad of former QPR player midfielder Scott Mullholland.

Scott was released from the West London club during the summer following injury before linking up with local Kentish Observer League rivals Thamesmead Town in August.

However, following a transfer request he put pen to paper and signed for The Green late last week and was included in the Reserve team match against Tunbridge Wells last Saturday.

Meanwhile forward/midfielder Paul McCarthy is expected to rejoin the club this week. The former Chelmsford City, Baldock Town, Dartford, Chatham Town and Cray Wanderers player was with VCD last season.

Although he is currently registered as a Kent League player with Erith & Belvedere he has only been playing Sunday morning football during this current campaign.

Leaders Maidstone United are the visitors to the Small Glen tomorrow (3pm).
