Slade Green pull off Cotterill coup
Sunday 27th July 2008
SLADE GREEN boss Matt Longhurst has pulled off a major coup by securing the services of Adam Cotterill from Blue Square South side Dorchester Town, writes Stephen McCartney.
Cotterill began his career as a YTS player at Charlton Athletic before signing professional forms with
Millwall, with a squad number of 18.
He has also played for Welling United and scored against his former club in Slade Green’s 7-0 win at The Small Glen yesterday.
Lee Barnett and Raphael Akala helped themselves to two goals apiece as Green overcame a young Welling United squad.
Paul Springett, Dan Westerman were also on target for the Kent League side, who are tipped by many to be a surprise package this term, especially with so many summer signings.
