Thursday 20th August 2020

SHEPPEY UNITED have bolstered their attacking options by unveiling the arrivals of Jack Midson, Warren Mfula and Junior Aikhionbare.

Midson, 36, was Sammy Moore’s player-assistant manager at Hemel Hempstead Town, Concord Rangers and Leatherhead and has signed for the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division side, while Mfula arrives from another National League South side in Dartford.

Centre-halves Matt Bourne and Corey Holder have arrived from Ashford United and Whyteleafe respectively.

Goalkeepers Adam Molloy and Tommy Taylor have also signed for the Holm Park outfit from Erith Town and Tunbridge Wells, while Jahmal Howlett-Mundle has signed a contract deal with the club.

“This has been a very productive pre-season so far and we are all encouraged by the prospect of this team in the upcoming season,” said head coach Marcel Nimani.

The Southern Counties East Football League Premier – the ninth-tier of English football - has some very big hitters playing in the division during the 2020-21 campaign.

Former Gillingham, Ebbsfleet United and Havant & Waterlooville striker Danny Kedwell, 37, has signed for his home-town club Hollands & Blair; Dan Bradshaw has left Sheppey United to sign for league rivals Chatham Town, who have also signed former Dartford pair Andy Pugh and Ryan Hayes.
