Sheppey United entice midfielder Hicham Akhazzan away from Sittingbourne

SHEPPEY UNITED manager Ernie Batten has unveiled the signing of midfielder Hicham Akhazzan.

The 28-year-old made over 400 appearances for Isthmian League Division One South side Sittingbourne and he also spent time out on loan with Sheppey’s Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division rivals Lordswood last season, too.

“This is another great signing for the club and one I have been chasing for a while now,” Batten told www.sheppeyunitedfc.co.uk.

“Hicham always stood out and impressed me whenever I watched him play last season.

“He’s a tricky, very quick and very talented midfield player whom will grow in our team and nature of play.”

Akhazzan started his playing career with Chatham Town, before signing for Sittingbourne.
