Sevenoaks Town fight off competition to sign prolific striker Richmond Kissi

Sunday 26th June 2011
SEVENOAKS TOWN boss Darren Anslow has unveiled prolific striker Richmond Kissi as his first signing for the club.

Kissi, 20, who began his career as a youngster at Charlton Athletic, scored 32 goals for Cray Wanderers’ reserve side last season, helping them to win the Kent League Division One title, the League Cup and reach the final of the Kent Intermediate Cup.

Kissi also featured in Cray’s first team and had been targeted by at least four clubs from the Ryman Premier League and Division One, who were chasing his signature, but has decided to sign for the Kent League  club, who are under their third manager in as many years.

Anslow told www.sevenoakstownfc.org: “I have got a very good relationship with Richmond, which has developed over the years since he has been with me.

“He is coming to Sevenoaks because he believes in what we are doing to take the club forward.”

Anslow, who will continue to run the Cray Wanderers Academy, is due to talk to another player and has his sights set on a third possible signing, which he hopes to complete soon.
