Sean Muggeridge takes sole charge after Simon Colbran quits Crowborough Athletic
The Crows are sitting in thirteenth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League table with four wins and seven defeats from eleven league games.
The club issued the following statement on their club website on Tuesday night.
“Crowborough Athletic are sorry to announce that joint-manager, Simon Colbran, has resigned from his position with immediate effect.
“Chairman Tony Bowen had a meeting with Simon, at his request, earlier today and he confirmed to Tony in that meeting that he felt it was in the best interests of both parties if he stepped aside and relinquished his role at the club.
“Sean Muggeridge will now become sole manager with first team responsibilities and will appoint his own assistant manager in due course as the club continue on their path in a new league.
“The players were informed of Simon’s decision before their Sussex County FA Senior Cup tie away at Culver Road against Lancing tonight.”
Chairman Mr Bowen added: “I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Simon for his time with the club and wish him every success with whatever in football he decides to do next.”
Matt Wyatt, 42, also confirmed that he has resigned as the manager of Ryman League Division One South side Sittingbourne on the same night.
