Sadness over the death of Kent footballer

IT IS with deep regret and sadness that the youth section of Blue Square South outfit Welling United wish to advise everybody of the untimely death of George Mosedale, an under 18 team member, who died in a car accident on Tuesday evening in Keston.

A statement issued by the club’s youth section committee and members said: “George has been an influential member of the current squad for the last three seasons.

“He had undoubted potential, having represented the first team, scoring against Margate in the Kent Senior Cup, last season.

“George was a very popular member of the team and had a great presence, both on and off the field.

“Our sympathies extend to his family and friends. George will be sorely missed.”
