Ryman League announce prize money awards
Ramsgate, who are three points clear of Horsham at the top of the Ryman League Division One table with eight games to play, are on course to pocket a £2,000 bonus - but only if they maintain top spot.
The Ryman Football League have today released details of their prize money awards, and whilst the Barclaycard Premiership big-boys receive huge sums of money for playing in that league, clubs that finish outside the Ryman League promotion or play-off places will receive nothing for their efforts during the course of 42 or 44 league outings except for some stationery.
The directors of the Ryman League have been able to confirm the sponsorship monies that will be available for payment to clubs for the current season.
The details of the awards are as follows:
Ryman League Premier Division:
Champions: £3,000
Runners-up: £2,000
The three other clubs involved in play-off places: £1,000
Ryman League Division One:
Winners: £2,000
Runners-up: £1,250
The four other clubs involved in play-off places: £750
Ryman League Division Two
Winners: £1,250
Runners-up: £750
In addition to the case awards referred to above, Ryman League directors are also considering ways in which all member clubs may receive financial benefit and details will be announced when the various schemes have been finalised.
However, Ryman assist the League and ultimately all member clubs in the provision of stationery equipment, which does help keep subscriptions reduced to the minimum.
All member clubs are also entitled to receive a Ryman Group discount card allowing very generous discounts of products purchased from Ryman Retail Stationery outlets as well as La Senza and Contessa outlets.
But details of allocation of sponsorship monies in regard to both the League and Youth Cups will be announced in due course.
The Ryman League have also confirmed their play-off dates.
