On the field the club are in the strongest position I have seen in all my years with the club, says Rusthall president Richard Smith

Rusthall president Richard Smith has issued the following statement:

 

“I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a happy Christmas, I know that it will be a Christmas like no other in these worrying times and I hope that you and your families stay safe and well over the holiday period.

Like me, I am sure that you are all missing your football, we need to be patient and I can assure you that whenever football resumes this great club of ours is ready, both on and off the field.

Many of you will have seen the pictures of the amazing transformation inside the clubhouse. I am sure that you will all make good use of the facility when football returns.

On the field the club are in the strongest position I have seen in all my years with the club, from the first team down to the very youngest teams.

Our first team are taking numbers of supporters to away games, that just a few years ago we would have been happy to see at Jockey Farm for a home game! Jimmy Anderson has put together a young and talented squad that bodes well for the long term future of the football club.

Let's hope for a better 2021 and for this great club of ours to continue to flourish, please stay safe and let's hope that we are all back at The Jockey Farm Stadium enjoying our football in safety in the near future.”
