Ramsgate unveil Sam Gore signing

Wednesday 16th May 2012
RAMSGATE have unveiled left-back Sam Gore as their second summer signing.

The 23-year-old has put pen to paper and is new manager Tim Dixon’s second summer signing, after Dean Hill re-joined the club from Margate last week.

Gore spent a year developing at Chelsea as a junior and was a youth team player at Gillingham from 15, being released after his scholarship at eighteen.

He joined Andy Hessenthaler at Dover Athletic at 18 and played until their first season of Blue Square Bet South and then had to have an operation.

Subsequently he went to the USA and played University football before returning to the UK where he played for Faversham Town until January, when he went travelling to Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

Gore, who is keen on table tennis and snooker, is pleased to join the Southwood Stadium outfit.

“I’m really happy about signing for Ramsgate,” he told www.ramsgate-fc.co.uk.

“As soon as I knew that Tim and Darren (Beale) were in charge at Ramsgate I was interesting in coming over.

“I can’t wait for pre-season now and meeting all the lads’.”
