Ramsgate unveil Justin Luchford as their new manager

Wednesday 19th March 2014
RAMSGATE have unveiled Justin Luchford as their new manager.

Luchford, 37, who was at the helm for Faversham Town’s promotion from the Kent League and subsequently had spells at Whitstable Town and Horsham, has been out of management so far this season but has been assisting Folkestone Invicta’s Neil Cugley with their push for promotion in his role as scout.

Ramsgate are currently sitting in tenth-place in the Ryman League Division One South table and with only eight games to go, have only managed one win in the six games that caretaker manager Dean Hill was in charge of the club since the departure of Tim Dixon last month.

The club’s director of football Phil Fennell said in a statement: “We considered a wide range of candidates for the position, many with experiencing of managing Ryman teams.

“Justin has the same passion and vision as we have for the club and believe that his experience and commitment make him the right man to take us forward.”

Luchford’s first game in charge of Ramsgate will be Saturday’s trip to fifth-from-bottom Three Bridges.
