Princes Park completition date "remains on target"

Cllr Jeremy Kite, the leader of Dartford Borough Council, has unveiled the completion date of Princes Park “remains on target”, writes Stephen McCartney.

 

Ryman League Division One South club Dartford play their first game in their new, impressive, all-covered, £6.5m stadium in just 53 days when Horsham YMCA visit on 11th November.


Cllr Kite has today unveiled the latest progress report on Princes Park:
It reads:

The completion date remains on target

The roof to the stadium is covered by sedum

The roof to the East (plaza) pod is installed

The West pod has purlins installed, roof to be commenced this week

The walls to the interior of the clubhouse are complete and plastered, and the Mechanical and Electrical sub contractor is progressing well

The sub-station is installed

The artificial pitch is complete and white lined

The ponds are complete. Both ponds are full of water

The main pitch grass is growing well

Main Stadium terracing, walkway, lighting and the PA system are complete.

Cllr Kite told www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk: “I have also seen some of the latest photos from the site and it’s great to see things like tiling and finishes starting to appear inside.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have built ourselves a football stadium.”

Dartford travel to Dulwich Hamlet tonight.
