Although we are a division higher, I’m expecting a tough match, says Phoenix Sports boss Steve O'Boyle
PHOENIX SPORTS manager Steve O’Boyle expects a tough FA Cup tie at Glebe today.
Phoenix go into the Second Qualifying Round tie as favourites as they are in eighth-place in the Bostik South, with a playing record of three wins and two draws from six games, five points adrift of leaders Walton Casuals.
Glebe go into the game sitting in the bottom four in the Southern Counties East Football League table with one win in four, but Ben Young’s side have saved their best form for The FA Cup.
“I’m really looking forward to today’s game. Although we are a division higher, I’m expecting a tough match,” said O’Boyle.
“It’s a big game for both teams, I hope we can play well and progress to the next round.
“I love The FA Cup and want to stay in it for as long as possible.
“We have had a tough start to the season but I’m really happy with the way we have begun and got points on the board.”
