We're looking forward to a big challenge against Whyteleafe, says Phoenix Sports boss Paul Bryon
PHOENIX SPORTS manager Paul Bryon says his side face a big challenge at home to Whyteleafe tomorrow.
Phoenix Sports go into the game sitting in eighth-place in the Bostik South Division table with 51 points from 33 games, a point better off than the side immediately below them in the table.
Bryon said: “We’re looking forward to a big challenge tomorrow against Whyteleafe. They are in good form and have some additions to their squad since we met them at their place.
“It was as a tight game then but I think we deserved our win and will be looking forward to repeating that result tomorrow.”
Reflecting on their 3-1 defeat away to play-off chasing Walton Casuals last Saturday, the Phoenix boss said: “Whilst we had a disappointing result last week we have been playing well up until then and the confidence in the squad is still high. We weren’t on our game last week, our passing was off and we looked a little tired.
“Saying that we had a couple of good chances early that had we taken them could’ve made the game a different spectacle.
“We still have a few out injured and again are dipping into our reserves to fill the gaps.
“We had good sessions this week and are confident if we play to our ability we will get something from the game.
“I know they will be up for as it is very tight from seventh to 12th in the league and they will be looking to move up a place but we have the same determination and really looking forward to the game.”
