Matt Lee released by Wings

Friday 13th January 2006

Friday the 13th was very unlucky for defender Matt Lee as he was released by Nationwide Conference South outfit Welling United today, reports www.wellingunited.com

Lee, who was on non-contract terms at Park View Road, was today released to allow him to search for a new club.

Having joined the club back in 2004, a bad injury kept him out for almost the whole of the 2004-05 campaign.  However, the defender played almost 20 times for the Wings - who fly to Blyth Spartans for tomorrow's FA Trophy second round tie - this season.

Meanwhie, Wings top goalscorer Danny Kedwell has been nominated for the December Player of the Month award.  The former Herne Bay striker scored twice for the Wings last month and you can vote for him via the Welling United website.
