Martin scoops Becks' awards

Beckenham Town’s well-attended presentation evening saw Ryan Martin sweep the awards, reports www.beckenhamtownfc.co.uk

The winger picked up the Player’s Player, Manager’s Player and the Eric Huggins Man-Of-The-Match awards.

Errison Ahawan won the supporters player of the year with Paul Vines being awarded The Golden Boot for being top goal scorer.

Club Treasurer Bernie Holloway paid tribute to the team and said that “the quality of the play this season was something that has never been seen before at Eden Park Avenue”.

In an emotive farewell speech manager Gavin Rose confirmed that he and his assistant Junior Kadi would be leaving the club.

He went on to say that he hoped the Beckenham Town would go forward next season and thanked club secretary Peter Palmer for his help during the season.
