Margate "delighted" to announce new chairman

The directors of Ryman Premier League club Margate are "delighted" to announce the appointment of Malcolm Rowlett as the club’s new chairman.

Mr Rowlett, a long time supporter of the Hartsdown Park club, joined the board of directors in August 2005.

A statement issued on www.margate-fc.com said:  "His appointment forms part of the freshening up that the directors maintain is required to deliver the football ambition of the club.

"The directors have also conducted the last of the interviews for the vacant manager’s position and as previously confirmed on our website their decision will be announced at the presentation evening after the Hendon game. It is hoped that the new manager will be in attendance".
