Margate are "buzzing" as they look forward to two big away trips

Sunday 19th November 2006

Eighteen goal hit-man Danny Hockton has said that his Margate team-mates are “buzzing” as they look forward to their next two big away games.

Just two points separates the top seven sides in the Ryman Premier League table with Bromley, Chelmsford City, Heybridge Swifts, Horsham and Ramsgate leading the way on 28 points and Margate and Tonbridge Angels in close pursuit with one point less.

This week will go a long way to testing Margate’s promotion credentials, as Robin Trott’s men look to build on their three game winning streak, travelling to Bromley on Tuesday night and Tonbridge Angels on Saturday.

“Everyone is buzzing right now,” Hockton told www.margate-fc.com:  “Even though we lost at Gloucester the other week, we really deserved to win (the FA Trophy game).

“With regard to the recent dip (in form), I just think there were a few players injured.

“Now everyone’s back and fighting for their position (in the starting line-up)."
