MARGATE have confirmed that manager Steve Watt and his assistant manager Steve Brown have both signed two-year deals at Hartsdown Park.

The decision to award a new two-year deal was to ensure stability at Hartsdown Park following the instillation of the 3G pitch this summer.

Margate chairman Alistair Bayliss told www.margate-fc.co.uk: “It is fantastic that both Steve Watt and Steve Brown have put pen to paper for a minimum of two years. This will enable them to bring in their type of players knowing they’re both going to be part of this project long term.

“The new owners have already shown their commitment to the project at Hartsdown Park by installing a new 3G pitch and there will be plenty more announcements over the coming weeks regarding other areas of the club as well as a couple of fantastic signings we hope to complete now that Watty is back from his holiday.

“There is no doubt in my mind that this club will be moving forward at an accelerated speed and supporters and sponsors should be looking forward to the future of Margate FC”.

Margate will be playing in the Isthmian League Premier next season after finishing at the foot of the Vanarama National League South table, with a playing record of seven wins and four draws from their 42 games.
