MARGATE manager Steven Watt has released seven players following the club’s relegation from the Vanarama National League South.

Defenders Tarik Moore-Azille, Aaron Tumwa and Brett Johnson, midfielders Scott Donnelly and Matthias Fanimo will not have their deals renewed as well as strikers Dean Morgan, and Daniel Akindayini.

Watt set out his vision for the 2017/18 season after announcing the departures but wanted to thank all seven for their services to the club.

“First and foremost I want to say thank you for their services to Margate Football Club,” Watt told www.margate-fc.co.uk.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of them the very best for the future and wish them every success”.

“I have a clear idea how I want my team to play next season and have identified some very exciting players for the upcoming season and I will be working hard over the coming days, weeks and months to ensure we are fielding a competitive side next season.”

Margate lost their league status after finishing at the foot of the table, with a playing record of seven wins and four draws from their 42 league outings and are expected to return to the Isthmian Premier next season.
