Maidstone United boss John Still snaps up Saidou Khan following successful trial
MAIDSTONE UNITED boss John Still has signed central midfielder Saidou Khan following a successful trial at the club.
Khan joins the Vanarama National League South club from Isthmian League South Central Division side Tooting & Mitcham United, after a recommendation from Stones coach Ryan Gordon, who knows the 23-year-old having coached him at the University of East London.
Khan has earned a deal after impressing in the last three pre-season outings, making a particular impact after starting in Maidstone United’s 1-1 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night.
“Saidou has impressed us since he came in and we saw what he’s capable of in the game against Dagenham on Tuesday,” Still told www.maidstoneunited.co.uk.
“He is a midfielder who did really well at Tooting & Mitcham last year and has all the qualities and potential to play at this level and above.”
Maidstone United complete their pre-season campaign with a home game against Southend United tomorrow (15:00).
