Lordswood appoint Darren Anslow as their new manager
LORDSWOOD have appointed Darren Anslow as their new manager.
Anslow, who is a qualified UEFA A Licenced coach, works for National League club Bromley where he is a lecturer and coach within the Academy set-up at Hayes Lane.
Anslow has left Bostik South East Division side Whitstable Town to take the Martyn Grove hot-seat and repalces Richard Styles, who left Lordswood on 3 June 2019 to take charge of league rivals Tunbridge Wells the following day.
Centre-half Rob Gillman has also left Whitstable Town to become player-assistant manager and Owen Price leaves Lewisham Borough in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division to also assist Anslow.
On leaving Lewisham Borough, Price, 32, who started his career at Charlton Athletic before moving to Tottenham Hotspur, tweeted: “I’ve just joined the dark side of football for the first time as the assistant manager at Lordswood.
"The graft starts now, there will be no stone left unturned that’s for sure. I’m looking forward to it.
“I just want to give a big shout out to Justin Fevrier, Matt Wheeler and Jason Pinnock for the job they’ve done and continue to do at Lewisham Borough.
“They’re real grafters who I wish all the success in the world, they deserve it. They’re proper stand-up guys who are now friends for life.”
Lordswood finished in tenth-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division last season.
