Longhurst's departure sparks return of respected duo

TERRY MALIN and Phil Miles have made a sensational return to Kent League side Slade Green, following the resignation of Matt Longhurst five days ago.

The much respected and highly-rated duo have been appointed as interim managers at The Small Glen club, following Matt Longhurst decision to leave the club to take up a coaching role at Ryman League Division One North strugglers Chatham Town.

For Malin and Miles it will be their second spell as Slade Green’s managers, having previously held the post for five season’s between 2001 and 2006.

They have returned to football following a brief break from the game, having been at Greenwich Borough for the past two seasons.

The pair will join Terry Ratchford in the dug out for Saturday’s trip to Winch's Field to play Norton Sports.
